A pan-African youth entrepreneurship prize in its final week of accepting applications is calling for more women applicants, as well as more from North Africa.
The Anzisha Prize (it means ‘start up’ in Swahili) has a total purse of US$75,000 aimed at supporting African entrepreneurs aged between 15 and 22.
The prizes are hosted by the African Leadership Academy (ALA) and funded by the MasterCard Foundation and the Donor Circle for Africa, a group of the US-based Silicon Valley Foundation.
