Science ministers from Ethiopia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal and Uganda participated in a forum in Kigali last week that called for action to boost the number of African scientists.
The 13 March meeting, which was streamed live over the internet, was hosted by the Rwandan government and the World Bank.
A call to action was read out by Uganda’s minister of education and sports, Jessica Alupo, on behalf of the participants.
