CODESRIA looks to fund diaspora training partnerships

The Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa will fund joint research projects between Africans in the diaspora and those working in universities on the continent.

The funding will be given as part of the council’s African Diaspora Support to African Universities, an initiative launched in 2014 to encourage Africans living in the diaspora to be involved in training in Africa.

Research networks must submit proposals, a budget of up to US$35,000, curriculum vitaes of project partners, the name of a coordinator and a commitment letter to qualify. The networks must also include a researcher from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa.
