Three African scientists have won research grants from the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
The three are among five grant recipients working on research areas of interest to the Muslim community who will get US$10,000 for two years.
Radjab Youssouf from the University of Comoros, Hasna Mohammadi from the Hassan II University of Mohammedia in Morocco and Sahar El-Sayed Abdel Kader Sharaf El-Deen from the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority were among those selected from 86 applicants.
