A group of African business leaders met in London last week to discuss how industry could contribute more to science and research on the continent.
The Africa Business Champions for Science grouping is a brainchild of the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology. The business champions’ grouping was one of the recommendations of a PASET conference in 2014.
The London meeting included African business leaders such as Angolan banker Álvaro Sobrinho, Benin’s Lionel Zinsou and Zambia’s Justin Chinyanta. Additional members will be announced at their next meeting.
