GSK Africa launches £1m non-communicable disease call

Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline is calling for research proposals in non-communicable diseases targeting 11 sub-Saharan African countries.

Through its NCD Africa Open Lab, the company has a total of £1 million (US$1.24m) to spend. This will fund a minimum of 10 proposals, each to a maximum of £100,000.

Scientists and researchers from Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda are eligible to apply for the opportunity.
