Work has started on an initiative to save African researchers time and money by harmonising grant management practices on the continent.
The African Academy of Sciences in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted the two-day launch event of the Good Financial Grant Practice initiative in late January.
The initiative aims to produce an African standard by the end of 2017, which can be taken up by research institutions as well as donors.
