‘Miss Africa’ seed fund targets STEM women

A programme that seeks to encourage African women to take up science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers seeks applications for its 2016 funding round.

The Miss.Africa seed grant programme is an initiative of the DotConnectAfrica Group, a Kenya-based technology advocacy organisation.

The programme will award three grants: a US$5,000 seed grant and two US$1,000 prizes reserved for applicants with high societal impact from ‘emerging’ African nations.
