Cancer journal commits to focus on developing countries

Low and middle-income countries expected to have 80% of new cancer cases by 2040

A cancer research journal based in the United Kingdom has changed its publishing policies to promote research in low- and middle-income countries.

In an editorial dated 18 September the editors and publishers of ‘ecancermedicalscience’ said that going forward the journal will only accept papers with at least one LMIC author, or which has a “significant impact on under-resourced settings”.
