‘Eyes in the sky’ could save African archaeological sites

Use remote sensing to document under-explored areas before they disappear, scientists urge

Two United States-based scientists have called for the use of remote sensing technology to document African archaeological sites before they are ruined by climate change and urbanisation.

The pair, hailing from Pennsylvania State University, express their concerns in a paper published in African Archaeological Review on 27 February.
