UCT begins ‘voluntary’ return of of medical students

The University of Cape Town has announced that its final year medical students will return to campus by 31 May, but that it will be a voluntary process. Returning students will have to quarantine themselves for two weeks and will receive personal protection equipment. Vice-chancellor Mmamokgethi Phakeng said that arrangements to complete degrees for high-risk students who do not want to return yet will be made at a later stage.
