Applications sought for African biodiversity data grants

EU-funded support aims to digitise natural history collections and develop data networks

A recently-launched grants programme funded by the European Union is looking to fund projects to boost the storage and use of African biodiversity data. 

The €600,000 (US$675,000) programme launched on 10 June will be overseen by Biodiversity for Development, which is funded by the EU. It will support projects to digitise natural history collections and develop permanent African biodiversity data networks, among other things.
