Kenyan plant parasitologist bags Royal Society prize

Accolade comprises a medal, £15,000 research grant and £2,000 gift

Steven Runo, a molecular biologist based at Kenyatta University in Kenya, has won the Royal Society Africa Prize for his research on parasitic plants that devastate crops.
