EU commissioner says support is part of post-pandemic recovery plan

Top European Union officials have committed to increase support for education, including higher education, in a revised framework for Africa-Europe cooperation expected later this year.

Jutta Urpilainen, EU commissioner for international partnerships, pledged to increase EU funding for all levels of education from 7 per cent to 10 per cent of her portfolio’s budget during a 20 April online event.
