Benin and Côte d’Ivoire win plant medicine grants

      

West African plants will be studied for Covid-19 treatment and antibiotic resistance

Researchers from Benin and Côte d’Ivoire have won research grants worth US$200,000 each from the Economic Community of West African States.

Victorien Tamègnon Dougnon of the University of Abomey, Calavi, in Benin and N’Guessan Jean David of Felix Houphouët Boigny University in Côte d’Ivoire received their grants on 6 and 10 August, respectively.
