Kenya plans regional health research and training hub

Multi-university partnership will feature labs and a 1,000-bed hospital

Kenyan universities will establish a centre of excellence to focus on health research, innovation and training.

Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta announced the East African Centre of Health Education and Training on 20 March. It will be hosted by Kisii University with partners from Egerton and Maseno universities, and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
