Body will promote African technology and broker alliances with foreign pharmaceutical companies
The African Development Bank has established an African Pharmaceutical Technology Foundation that it hopes will transform the continent’s pharmaceutical industry.
In the same breath, on 27 June, the bank also committed to spending US$3 billion over the next 10 years in support of Africa’s pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing sector under its Vision 2030 Pharmaceutical Action Plan.
