South African science minister slams dearth of in-country science support
South Africa’s science minister has slammed African governments for not investing in science, technology and innovation.
In his introductory address to a two-day colloquium on STI organised by South Africa’s National Advisory Council on Innovation, Blade Nzimande (pictured) said Africa’s dependence on outside funding is a major reason for the continent’s failure to advance.
