Somalia gets first health science school courtesy of Turkey

A health science training school has opened in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, funded by the government of Turkey.

The launch of the school, billed as the first in the country, took place on 7 November.

The centre carries the name of Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The training school is located at a hospital also carrying his name, which was completed in May 2015.
