South Africa and Jamaica launch first joint call

South Africa and Jamaica have jointly issued a call for funding applications for research collaboration between the two countries.

The countries’ first science cooperation deal was signed in November 2016, to be implemented by South Africa’s National Research Foundation and Jamaica’s National Commission on Science and Technology.

The inaugural call opened on 20 April, and will fund a maximum of three projects. Applications should focus on indigenous knowledge systems or water research.
