West Africans to study women’s empowerment

  

Canadian funding for six projects will last three years

Canada’s International Development Research Centre has awarded funding for research on women’s empowerment in West Africa.

The six winning projects were announced on 12 February. They will all be led by institutions in the region and will receive up to CA$500,000 (US$394,000) each over three years. Senegalese institutions will lead three projects, Benin two and Cote d’Ivoire one.
