Canada aims to boost African women in Stem

                

Projects will investigate under-representation and promote women’s leadership

Canada’s International Development Research Centre has funded three Africa-based projects to advance women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The winning projects were announced on 5 January and receive funding of up to CA$1.25 million (US$1m) each. Its Gender in Stem Research Initiative identified six winners in total.
