Another South African technology university in trouble

Johnny Molefe, the new vice-chancellor of South Africa’s Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), is accused of obtaining a degree from a fly-by-night university in the Caribbean.

However, Molefe was temporarily given a certificate confirming the authenticity of the degree by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), raising questions about its competence.
