Only three applicants from Mozambique are on the 2011 list of fellowship winners for the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) programme, compared with 11 this year.
The Mozambican researchers are among 2,466 applicants from 450 institutions in 11 African countries who have competed for the fellowships since the project began.
