Youth to gain access to institutional research funds

Accessing funding is key for any researcher hoping to pursue a project. The question is where to look. In Zimbabwe, universities set aside a percentage of their income for research. This money is normally used to conduct research, attend conferences and finance publishing costs.

But accessing funding may not be so easy for young academics. In some universities research grants are given only to academics with tenure, which is awarded after three years’ teaching and research.
