TB implementation science gets R70m boost

Six implementation science projects to battle tuberculosis have received funding from the South African Medical Research Council.

The three-year projects are being funded in partnership with the UK Medical Research Council. They will share a total of R70 million (US$4.7m).

The grants are part of the Newton Fund partnership between the two countries, agreed in September 2014.
