Harvard fellowships for older disadvantaged South Africans

Mid-career academics in South Africa whose education was impaired due to apartheid can apply for a yearlong fellowship to study at Harvard University in the United States.

The fellowships are offered under the Harvard South Africa Fellowship Programme, set up in 1979. It is offered to academics and professionals.

Harvard’s special student or visiting fellow programme allows students to contribute to a degree at a home institution or to strengthen their academic background.
