South Africa to supply space know-how to NEPAD

South Africa's National Space Agency is to supply the New Partnership for Africa's Development with space-related expertise.

Naledi Pandor, South Africa’s science minister, announced the deal on 8 May at a conference in Pretoria.

Pandor said that SANSA will supply the pan-African agency with satellite remote-sensing products and services to implement its programmes in sustainable agriculture, food security, water management, forestry, urban planning and infrastructure monitoring.
