The BRICS bloc of emerging countries made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa must do more to support invasion science, a paper has warned. 

The bloc is poised to become the foremost invasive species ‘donor’ in the world because of its booming economies and slack invasion research capacity, the paper says. But the bloc countries are also vulnerable to their own species.
