Universities flouting parliamentary oversight, say MPs
Parliament’s portfolio committee on higher education, science, and technology has complained that university officials are refusing to be held accountable.
Philemon Mapulane, the African National Congress’ chair of the committee, said on 14 May that the committee is “increasingly being shown the middle finger” when calling university officials to account.
