Student unions challenge lack of consultation in unlocking universities

Not all universities have allowed student leaders back on campus, union body claims

Students are not being consulted enough during the reopening of universities, a representative of the South African Union of Students has said. Misheck Mugabe, the SAUS president, briefed Parliament’s portfolio committee on higher education, science, and technology on 24 June, based on feedback from student representative councils at all 26 public universities.
