Study identifies barriers to South African SOEs investing in R&D and innovation

A study of three South African state-owned entities has identified barriers that stop them from doing research, development and innovation activities to support national goals.

The study, discussed in an 11 October webinar, was conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council’s Centre for Science, Technology & Innovation Indicators (Cestii), using data from the 2019/20 financial year.
