Call for action after disaster kills more than 400 in KwaZulu-Natal

South African MPs have taken the science department to task over what they perceive as a lack of action over the recent devastating floods in KwaZulu-Natal province.

The floods, caused by heavy rains earlier this month, washed entire settlements off hillsides and demolished bridges and roads. Over 400 deaths have been confirmed, with more people still missing.
