South Africa’s Department of Science and Innovation wants to focus its attention on turning the country’s world-class science and research into policies that can improve people’s lives, its top official has said.
Phil Mjwara (pictured), DSI director-general, made the comment at the 2022 Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress in Pretoria this week. The congress is a joint initiative of the global network Future Earth and the Belmont Forum, an international partnership that mobilises funding for environmental change research.
