Accreditation body backs university stance but says there is room for improvement
The University of South Africa has hit back at claims that some of its accounting degrees are on the verge of being de-accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
“The integrity of the accounting qualification you are studying towards or have acquired with Unisa is still strong, credible and well-respected in the market,” the university’s Unisa vice-chancellor and principal Puleng LenkaBula told students on the courses.
