Former Tshwane mayor Kgosientsho Ramokgopa appointed minister for resolving South Africa’s ongoing energy crisis

South Africa’s president Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed a civil engineer to a new post of minister of energy, putting him in charge of solving the country’s energy crisis.

Kgosientsho Ramokgopa (pictured), who hails from the internal ranks of the ruling African National Congress, previously served as Member of Executive Committee for Economic Development, Agriculture and Environment in Gauteng.
