South Africa’s NSFAS welcomes Special Investigation Unit’s findings on 40,000 unduly funded beneficiaries

South Africa’s student financial aid scheme has awarded billions of Rand to students who should not have qualified for the funding, a report has found.

The report, by the government Special Investigating Unit, was presented to the country’s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts on 18 April.
