Committee to investigate whether Wim de Villiers breached university rules

The governing council of Stellenbosch University in South Africa has announced that it will appoint a subcommittee to investigate allegations of nepotism against rector Wim de Villiers.

The investigation will precede the council voting on a no-confidence motion against the rector, the council said in a statement on 17 April after it met to discuss the matter.
