Investigation of nepotism allegation finds Wim de Villiers did not breach rules
The University of Stellenbosch has cleared its vice-chancellor and rector Wim de Villiers of misconduct, following an investigation into allegations of nepotism.
It announced on 1 July the findings of the panel investigation, led by retired judge Carole Lewis, of allegations that de Villiers (pictured) abused the Rector’s Discretionary Placement (RDP) by admitting two nephews of his wife to study at the institution.
