Science minister says new members will fill competency gaps on government advisory body

South Africa’s science minister Blade Nzimande this week appointed seven new members to the governing council of the National Advisory Council on Innovation, which advises him on science and innovation policy.

“As we welcome these distinguished individuals to the NACI council, we are confident that their extensive expertise and insights into science, technology, and innovation will further bolster our efforts to achieve national and provincial objectives,” the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) said on 12 August.
