The residents of Lagos, the only megacity south of the Sahara, are at risk, according to research done by Femi Olokesusi of the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER) think tank.
Lagos, the economic and financial capital of Nigeria, is facing deteriorating conditions, environmental mismanagement and great danger from its low-lying position on the Atlantic Ocean coastline, Olokesusi warned.
