A University of Buea researcher is the only female to receive one of this month’s Young Scientists National Awards – although another five countries are still to announce their 2011 winners.
The Cameroonian lecturer, Ayeoffe Fontem Lum, won the prize for investigating cost-effective herbicides for weed control on major crops.
