Two Nigerian scientists have received inaugural awards this month in a new Africa-wide effort to celebrate researchers as national heroes.
One of the winners of the Young Scientists National Awards was Owolabi Mayowa Ojo, a neurologist at the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan.
