Cocoa funding for Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria

Three West African countries can apply for research fellowships to improve cocoa production in developing countries.

The United States Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for its Cocoa Borlaug Fellowship Programme from researchers in Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria.

Ghanaians can apply for fellowships in genomics, genetics and plant breeding. Liberian researchers can apply in plant propagation. Nigerians can apply to the widest range of disciplines: pests and diseases, plant pathology, soil fertility, plant nutrition and agroforestry.
