Four universities in Ghana and the Netherlands have partnered on a project to train six PhD students as part of efforts to study the history of two ethnic groups in the West African country.
The Society and Change in Northern Ghana: Dagomba, Gonja and the Regional Perspective on Ghana’s History project was launched on 16 March at the University of Ghana, the institution said in a statement.
The partnership is between the universities of Ghana and Development Studies, and the University of Leiden and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
