The UK Medical Research Council’s unit in The Gambia has signed an agreement with two institutions in Senegal to form a regional health alliance.
The agreement to establish the West Africa Global Health Alliance was signed in Dakar, Senegal, on 5 October, but was not announced on the MRC website until 20 October.
The two Senegalese institutions are the Institut de Recherche en Santé de Surveillance Epidémiologique et de Formation (IRESSEF) and the Université Cheikh Anta Diop.
