Medics condemn chiropractic degree course

A group of medical practitioners has written to the University of Central Queensland to warn of the potential harm to patients of a new chiropractic degree course, reports ABC News.

In the letter the medics claim that the academics running the course are engaging in pseudo-science and non-scientific teaching.

“We wonder if you’ve had a chance to look in depth at the nonsense claims so many chiropractors make for their ‘discipline’ among whom is your newly appointed head of chiropractic studies,” an extract of the letter published by ABC News reads.

According to ABC News, the university has described the attack as part of a turf war being waged against chiropractors by the medical profession.
