Academy hosts women in chemistry meeting

The Australian Academy of Science is hosting an event in Canberra on 25 August on women in chemistry.

The afternoon discussion at Parliament House will be presented by science broadcaster Robyn Williams.

The event is part of the International Year of Chemistry celebrations taking place around the world in 2011.

Speakers will include Suzanne Cory, president of the AAS; Carol Robinson, a chemist at the University of Oxford; and Margaret Sheil, chief executive of the Australian Research Council.
