Family violence prevention research at risk

A high-profile programme focused on preventing family violence risks closure unless the Victoria state government delivers an AU$250,000 funding boost, the Sydney Morning Herald reported on 24 February.

‘The Victorian Systemic Review of Family Violence Deaths’ was launched as a flagship programme in 2009. Its evidence is given to coroners “to help them make recommendations to reduce family violence”, according to the Herald.
