QUT signs deal with China’s ‘powerhouse’ province

Queensland University of Technology has signed a public health and medical research collaboration deal with one China’s biggest and wealthiest provincial governments.

The agreement, with Guangdong province’s science and technology department, is the first of its kind by an Australian university.

It was announced by QUT vice-chancellor Peter Coaldrake in Brisbane on 23 March and will potentially give the university access to more than 40 universities across the coastal province.
